Port of Miami
 

We will be driving to the port of Miami and was wondering for those that have driven if it’s easy to get there and park. We will be sailing on Celebrity

I usually go the day before and stay at the Ramada in Miami. Get up have free breakfast and head to the pier. Don't like going there or Fort Lauderdale the day of. As for parking I park right at the Pier. When I'm finished sailing I want to get off the ship and hit the road.

Port of Miami parking can be pricey. Check hotels in vicinity of airport. Some offer free parking for up to two weeks with one night's
paid lodging. The same goes for Fort Lauderdale cruising.

Last time we cruised out of Miami (Sept 2016) prices were approx. $20 per day. Yes it is a bit pricy but I am in my car and driving back within 10 minutes after we get off the ship. No need to wait for shuttles, etc. Parking is across the street from the cruise ship and getting there is much easier now because the tunnel connecting the highway to the port has opened approx. a year ago so no driving thru the City.
