No more then 400 feet up in the sky. After that U might need a license.

Maximum height AGL is 400 feet per FAA regulation. The Drone License allows you to do recordings and pictures as a comercial business. The Drone License also allows you to operate in different air space other then class G. All Drones heavier then .55 pounds must be registered with the FAA.

You can check the FAA website for the definitions on air space. They also have the regulations on Drones. AOPA a!so now has a department to support Drone Pilots. Be aware there is a heliport at the Villages Hospital. The pilot offen flys over Stonecrest at a vefy low altitude as he is on approach to the Heli Pad. He may come from any direction so be alert to hearing him as he just may come your way while you are flying. Also there is an APP to use before you fly.

Yes, I know about the Villages Hospital. I don't like congested area's like that anyway. No need to do that. I stay in wide-open area's too fly.:) Happy Fly'in..........

You might want to read through these. If you get your Drone Pilot License it makes it much easier to just go out and fly. I've had a Phantom II for some time. Love it. Have it set up for FPV with goggles I put on people. Makes them feel like they are in the Drone. Have fun. I still like flying the ones I actually sit in better but these are fun.

Steve, I'm really not interested in gett'in a Pilot license. I just want to fly for the Fun of it. Here's a pic 150ft over our house.

OK, I understand. Here is the difference between having the Drone License and flying only under the recreational rules. Under the FAA Regulations if you are within 5 miles of an airport you are required to contact the airport and tell them when and where you will be flying and at what altitude. This includes the Heliport at the Villages Hospital. With a Drone License you fly just as if you were any other pilot and fly under the airspace rules. So take out a protractor and draw a circle with a radius of 5 miles around the Villages Hospital and any airport in the area even the private ones. Now is the FAA going around and checking NO. But if there is an incident the NTSB and the FAA will be asking you questions. One reasons your Drone is registered. They made these rules so strict as to try and force all Drone Pilots to get their license. Its a shame this happened but I understand since I've watched this since it started. There were some people that were very reckless and there are many videos on YouTube to prove it. Won't bother you any more but I want to make sure people understand what can happen. Happy Flying and be safe. Good pictures.

I've been flying since 1984 and bought the Drone to try and save some money. Its fun but I still like being in an actual cockpit. Since I already had a pilots license all I needed for the Drone Comercial License was to take the writtten test. First Landings at Apopka Airport has a school if you ever change your mind. AOPA also has lots of info on Dones now and I think you do not have to be a member to get at the information. Enjoy your flying. The pictures look great.
