shuttle from Sanford airport to the villages?? we have used signature shuttle in the past and they have went out of business what is the current one that will take you from Sanford airport to the villages any help would be appreciated

I believe they only serve MCO, not Sanford

As I recall, the Villages TAXI did service Sanford, but the trip to the airport went to Orlando first, and the trip back went through Orlando also, the result was a very long (around 3 hours) trip to and from the Sanford airport. This is really a pleasant drive, so we just drive and park the car in the covered parking deck.
IMHO, look in the phone book, and call the taxi companies for details and costs, you will probably get a better deal (cost and time) dealing with one of the local taxi services.

Before catching a 3 hr shuttle, I'd look into a stay-park-fly hotel near Sanford. These locations have shuttles that drop you off at airport and return you to your car upon return. I've found to be cheaper than airport parking.

thanks for all the help we did use village van service it was $85 for two people and they could come directly from Sanford right to the villages thank you for all your help , in about three days I will be willing to pay $185 to get my mother-in-law of here!

Village Airport Van costs $65 from the Sanford Airport ... BUT ... after they pick you up, they take you to the Orlando Airport to pick others up, and you have to sit and wait for them. It takes hours to get back home. Such a shame Signature went out of business.

I find that renting a car or other from Enterprise is a very good way to get your company from the airports. I usually pay about 47 dollars for a 24 hr rental. :shrug:

Just saw in The Sunday 5/21 Daily Sun that The Villages Shuttle is now offering transportation to Sanford Airport.

Try Village Airport Van they are very reliable

check out the covered parking rates--for 2 people, IMHO--easier 2drive your own car & drive-- the garage is very close to the terminal--The rate is $17.00/day--this way a couple can park for 10 days, save $$ and don't have to worry about making connections
