Another vote for Ryan. I found my garage door had quit working on Sunday and thought I'd have to wait several days to get someone out. Called Ryan Sunday afternoon and he was willing to come out then, but I told him to wait until this morning. He was prompt, found the problem and fixed it in no time. He tries to give same day service, which is wonderful.

What is a fair ballpark price ?

For what? Broken springs vary as to the size of the door, etc. You should always replace both springs, not just one. Ryan also adjusts, lubes, etc. I do not remember his prices, but I recall it was MORE than reasonable. Less than the big company guys.

And after I hired Ryan, if he WAS twice as high as another guy, I would still go with him....I am SURE he is NOT, just saying he is worth it.

We, too, called Ryan O'Cull based on recommendations here. Called at 4:30 on Thursday, he was finished by 5:37 and he apologized for the delay in arriving! He really knows what he is doing. We had springs replaced.

Add me to the list of those who called Ryan O'Cull based upon the recommendations of this board. You can also add me to the list of being glad that I did. I would highly recommend Ryan should anyone else need work on their garage doors. Full disclosure: I did not call anyone else to obtain different quotes and this too was based upon comments made about other garage door repair services.
