If you are unable to go to the Moffitt Cancer Center for treatment because of insurance restrictions, where/what would be your second choice?

Florida Cancer Specialists! Most of the staff and doctors in The Villages with FCS ARE old Moffitt employees!! When Moffitt moved out of The Villages, most
of the doctor's and staff remained because they have families and lives here and did not want to uproot them. They are in The Sharon Morse buildings and in that parking lot and in Leesburg, if that's easier for you. Good luck to you! Wishing you all the best!

I see Dr.El-Jassous, 652-633-8319. and have been to their radiation facility in Sharon Morse and PET scan facility in Leesburg. Can't ask for kinder more understanding staff too. Nurses, receptionists...all people I have been happy to have on my side!!

Shands, U of F in Gainesville..... was sent there when I moved to TV from St Pete as it was the only place at the time that could do MRA of breast. Have been going there for 16 years. Recently had dx of CA from mammograms and continued with Shands for biopsies, tests, etc. Breast Ca Specialist, Dr Spiguel is exceptional. Am currently under her care. As an RN, familiar with hospitals,doctors, testing, diagnostics, etc, I have found Shands to be a very thorough, competent, caring group of medical professionals.
