As far as I know site is NO CHARGE, and there are no levels of membership. If posts are being deleted, maybe one of the moderators found something offensive or off topic. On the rare occasion this happened to me I usually got a note from the moderator, and in both cases, autocorrect made a change I did not notice!!

I've had a couple of (in my opinion) brilliant posts deleted in the last 24 hours.

I used to get a note from the Moderator explaining why the deletions, but it did not happen in these cases.

Of course, we know you are being sarcastic because of your belief about the Moderator having favorites who are given wider rein to test the limits of propriety than is the case with other users. But, that's fine.

Arguably, there are levels of membership, but I was under the impression that they were based upon board activity of the user.

For example, you, TheDude, Graciegirl, and coldnomore are Sages.

REmer is a Senior Member. I am a Gold Member.

I know of no member called a "supporter." Of course there are "advertisers."

I took TheDude's posting as sarcasm, perhaps because he had a posting deleted.

To set the record straight...

Membership labels - Junior, Gold, Sage, etc are strictly assigned based on number of posts;

Posts are deleted for cause - based on violations of the written site guidelines that all members agreed to. We try to provide a written reason for the deletion, but, time and volume constraints don't always allow us to do this.

TOTV posts are intended to be things of general interest to the membership. We will not allow personal feuds from the political forum to spill over into the main forum. Or, any personal disputes for that matter.

Current Events, like the recent London attack, are OK for discussion on the main board. However, experience shows that these discussions quickly go off topic, become nasty, or political and have to be closed, moved to political, or removed from visibility.

We do our best to promote a fun, informative, civil, fairly moderated, discussion forum. Not everyone likes to play by those rules.
