Rumbling Noise for last hour?
 

I've been hearing this rumbling noise for roughly the last hour and thought it was thunder. Just went outside and it is cloudy but no rain or thunder, but, I did hear the rumbling. Anyone have any idea what it is?

The Navy is probably practicing their bombing runs in the Ocala National forest. They do it quite often.

Either that, or it's one of those long coal trains.

It might be those large earth moving machines.

Yes there is testing, on the 5th, today and tomorrow in the afternoons. I called. You can call and get your name on the email list for notifications if you are interested in doing so, then you will know when to expect it. 904 542 5588 However I can hear it now and she said that was not them.

I called again and they said they may have changed their schedule because of the weather, and with the clouds, the sound is held in which intensifies it. She said if we are hearing bombing type noises it is probably them.

Down here in Lake Deaton it has been going on for hours, but sounds like it is coming from the southwest. I suspect it is just distant thunder, there have been storms in Tampa and Spring Hill all morning.

Yes there is thunder! I am not that blonde! But over the past few days there has been something different than thunder, and that is the testing. It is distinct from thunder.

They sound like explosions. I mean the bombs. They do use dynamite for blasting in some digs around here too. The Villages Daily Sun often gives a warning when some builder is blasting.

You can tell it hasn't rained around here much lately when thunder is a strange noise.
