Income Tax Question

In April I filed my electronic tax return which was accepted by the IRS. I was supposed to get an $1100 refund which was supposed to be deposited in my checking account. On the tax return I gave my routing # and account #. At this time I have not received that refund and was wondering how long this normally takes?

Thanx

John

That's funny, I owed them money they cashed my electronic check that day! Seems like it only works one way!

I haven't received a tax refund in over 30 years. It has always made more sense to me to just apply any overpayments to next year's return, and adjust my regular payments to balance out the taxes owed for the following year.

Thanx for the help. I figured out what happened. I gave the acct. # and routing number of my Citizens First Bank instead of BOA. The refund was deposited in that bank.

Bonus points for you for coming back and giving the solution. More bonus points for admitting the IRS did everything you expected in a timely manner and it was your understandable error that caused the confusion. Glad it worked out.
