Today's thunderstorm?

I've been following the radar for the last few hours. We had a large area of thunderstorms headed directly for TV from the south. As it passed Bushnell, it broke up into not so much as a drizzle, but reformed as an even larger area about 20 miles NE of here. Maybe we REALLY DO live in a bubble???:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

OH, this seems to happen SO often around here.

Looking at the radar and orange/red/dark green just west or south or north of us. Watching the movement step by step. I mean 'no doubt' that it will hit us here in TV. NO DOUBT about it.

Then.... WHAT? The storm seems to fizzle out to light green, or separate right around us (like Moses was there parting the storm). Happens so often.

Sometimes wonder if we live in a Dry County. Or yes, that Bubble...

Storms seem to hit the Turnpike and fizzle. Really weird.

Maybe they get behind the clowns doing 50 in the left lane:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

We've noticed that as well. Have you all noticed how bad weather systems seem to hit the Orlando area, then the coast as well as Marion County but we many times get passed by??

I agree. Have been watching the radar and bingo! The clouds parted and missed us!

It IS sprinkling here in Santiago now. Weird weather patterns.

I was in the pool. The big bad black clouds went by on both sides. Almost kind of a " Moses " thing.

I am sure the developers had something to do with this. :-)

We live on a hill. You all do the research. I did it long ago. It makes a difference with storm fronts that aren't that powerful. Our altitude has little effect on weak storm fronts. *shrug* it ain't rocket science, but it is science.

The Wife & I call it "The Blue Hole"...........

When we lived on the south FL intracoastal, one of our neighbors had a portable lightning monitor. So we would stay in the pool until she got 3 out of five LEDs lit, and then go back into the condo. About 1/2 hour later we had an electrical storm over the building. Oh, wait a minute, this has nothing to do with The Villages. Never-mind.

Moses lives here. The storms part when they get to the villages unless he is on vacation.

I think it's the Villages mountains of cash that diverts the storms ...

Moses and a bunch of storm spotters live here. Sleep peacefully.
