Fargo's Mr. Wrench.

One of the villains from Season One of Fargo has shown up again in Season Three.

This may be the last season of this very quirky series. And I love the details in it especially in yesterday's episode "Aporia".

Love Fargo and especially this season as they mention Eden Prairie where I lived for many years and the various cities I conducted business throughout Minnesota

Actually most of what the Coen brothers produced has been extraordnary . The Coen brothers like Al Franken and a columnist ---Friedman are products of St Louis Park, MN

I had/have a bunch of relatives in the Edina, MN area. My double cousin (2 sisters married 2 brothers) went to the U of Montana where he met a girl from Edina, MN. They married eventually moved to the Seattle area then to a tribal area where my double cousin was some kind of game warden for an Indian tribe.

There are still many relatives of the wife of my double cousin in Edina and other MN areas.

Part of the reason I wanted to go to the U of MN Law School was all those relatives who might have been able to help me out.

Love the Coen brothers; Franken and Friedman, not so much. Have you been noticing all of the scenes in Fargo based on or copied from previous Coen brothers' films (and previous seasons of Fargo too)? I absolutely loved the recent scene in the bowling alley, copied from The Big Lobowski where Dude had a discussion with "The Stranger", played by Sam Ellliot. Great stuff.

I did not catch that. But thanks for pointing it out! :ho::coolsmiley::mademyday:

I just realized last night as I was watching that Nikki's partner was from a previous Fargo. Love that. I hope this isn't the last season for Fargo.

Me too. It is such an odd but very creative show and I lived in Minnesota from late August 1986 through late November of 1991. Most Minnesotans do not talk like that however. A few do. Even a few of the law students especially those from a rural area of Minnesota spoke like some of the characters on Fargo. I lived in one of the biggest dorms on the U of MN Campus two Academic Years so I met many Minnesotans who were not law students.

My golfing partner is a retired Minnesota State Trooper, and when I told him how much I enjoy the Fargo series, he said "I've been a Minnesota resident for 80 years and I don't know anyone who talks like that". Funny.

One of my close classmates from the U of MN Law School Natalie T.,-- they broke the entering classes of @ 250 students into 5 groups of 50 with whom we shared all the First Year Classes-- is now a Judge in Las Vegas, Nevada and she did often talk like that and probably still does. I was not that close with the 200 students from other groups of 50 unless they lived in my dorm or were in Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners.

Natalie T., was the roommate of my eventual live-in girlfriend Jennifer V. who spoke like me -- a person born near Milwaukee, WI. The Minnesotans and the cheeseheads from WI often had a rivalry. I had a hard time rooted for the Vikings when they played the Packers as well as with the Twins and the Brewers.

Probably the best show on tv these days. Mr. Varga is possibly the least likable villain ever on tv.

The Coen Bros always seem to favor having a dumb sheriff and a smart deputy.

Season 1 was my favorite, Billy Bob Thornton was a really scary guy.

I was a fan of the British Sherlock Holmes shown here on PBS and also available on Netflix, which featured Martin Freeman as Dr. Watson. Then I found out Martin Freeman was in the British version of The Office, he was the 'Jim' character, I was already a fan of the Steve Carell version, so I caught some of the UK episodes on Netflix. So when MF turned up on Fargo Season 1, I had to watch. That season is my favorite so far.

Who is that guy who plays the Sheriff in season 3? I know him from somewhere but can't place him.

Taltarzac725 06-17-2017 09:35 PM

That's character actor Shea Whigham.

I remembered him from that too.

Not one of the characters I would guess many liked at all.
