You are not certainly insinuating that the Trump family wants it kept in the family, are you.

Great news! She is probably more qualified than all of Odumbo's picks.

Sure looks like a well thought out appointment..I am sure these American citizens are in good hands

By the way, this woman is under investigation with the Foundation for funneling money

"A longtime associate of President Trump’s family, who organized golf tournaments on the president’s courses and planned his son Eric’s wedding, will soon oversee billions of federal dollars as the head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s New York and New Jersey office.

Lynne Patton had been working as a senior adviser and director of public engagement at HUD for several months before Ben Carson, the department secretary, recommended her for the new role, a person close to Mr. Carson said. Before that, Ms. Patton had no experience in housing policy.

The appointment of a Trump family loyalist to a key government post fits a pattern. His daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, work in White House offices. Dan Scavino Jr., who was the president’s caddie, is the director of social media. His longtime bodyguard, Keith Schiller, has become such an important White House figure that he hand-delivered the dismissal papers to James Comey, the former F.B.I. director.

Nonetheless, the appointment of Ms. Patton elicited incredulous responses in New York.

“Like many things in the Trump universe, we’re dealing with things we’ve never seen before,” Mayor Bill de Blasio, who held the same post during the Clinton administration, said in a weekly radio interview on WNYC. “Folks in that role historically have had substantial background in government or in housing.”

Gotta admit that is funny.

Your are right. Organizing weddings and golf tournaments is much better than the last few who actually knew what HUD meant and did.

But we need all the cheerleaders possible. NY citizens are in good hands.

I did 2 jobs for HUD 2 years ago, a new 6 story and a remodel of 10 story building. Talk about wasted money!

The main entrances were $60K each and there were 2 on each building. The hardware specified was not chosen for value, if it was the most expensive that is what they spec'd. Even the industry standard 9" pull was not good enough for these people, they spec'd a 10" pull. The doors had $3700 closers (banks and schools use a $350 closer). The vinyl flooring was 3/8" thick (schools use 3/16" thick). They had outdoor patios on 2 of the upper floors (nice views!), all dolled up with gliders and conversation pits ...it was more like an expensive retirement condo building than a HUD building to house "residents" in free apartments.

The 6 story building has a 60' x 30' canopy that cost $300K over the main entrance, that way residents (and guests of residents) could be dropped off at the expensive entrance door when it is raining, and they would be more comfortable arriving to their free apartments. Only the person that parked their piece of $hit leaking oil car would have to get wet.

The whole time we worked on the buildings, no matter what time of day it was, there was a stream of "residents" in their pajamas heading to or from the "smoke shack". These are federal buildings, they are not supposed to smoke inside of them, so they build a shelter in the parking lot for the "residents" to smoke in. At 2pm, they are still in their pajamas (its not like they had to get up early and go to work)...but I am sure they are proud of the entrance doors that lead to their free apartment!

It took them over a year to get the contractors on the project paid. There was no outstanding items on the punchlist, the payouts were just dragged out and waiting for the funding.

This new person with business experience, sounds like a move in the right direction. The current management is extremely wasteful.

She is only going to be in charge of New Jersey, and New York. Look who she is reporting to, Ben Carson. Now, that is the dream team that HUD needs. In Trump's world, the less experience you have the better he likes you. As long as you worship him, he will find a job for you. "Ass kissers are us" will be on Trump's appointers hats. At least, they won't be lying, which is something new for Trump, and his lap dogs.

So who do you think would be better, the people Obamma appointed? Possibly you feel it was being run in a way that needed no change?? Or are you just being critical of Trumps every decision...

I would ask you to point out WHAT business experience she has, but seems they are backing of anyway...

"Federal housing officials appear to be backing away from the appointment of a Trump family wedding planner to run the office that oversees federal housing in New York.

On Thursday two federal officials had confirmed to the Daily News a start date of July 5 for Lynne Patton as the new administrator of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s Region II office.

Late Thursday Patton did not dispute the appointment when she tweeted out what appears to be a clarification of her resume.

But on Friday HUD spokesman Jereon Brown said "The position is vacant. There’s been no official announcement."

Did not understand the appt in the first place. This gal might be a nice woman but she has ZERO experience at almost anything...a wedding planner and I think she said she also "booked celebrities" or something.

But it appears somebody got smart

Sounds like another of your made up stories. Name the buildings. Most are for seniors and vets.

I challenge you to present any story I made up.

Guess you never heard of LIPH... acronym for low income public housing.

I'm not living in the past at all. Just comparing position requirements.

You know: "Wedding Planner appointed to run HUD" vs "community organizer becomes POTUS"
