What are you paying for "internet only"?

I realize there are a lot of threads on this but I can't really find what I'm looking for. Here in RI we recently cut the cable and now stream our tv shows through directv now ($35 a month). That way we are not renting equipment at $40+ every month plus the cable tv charge. I don't miss cable tv at all. We still pay $70 a month up here for internet, however. We move our stuff (from Sarasota) into the Villages on July 8th. I called Comcast xfinity and century link and they will charge $70 and $60 a month, respectively. I was wondering who has internet only and what they are paying. We will be in Woodbury and I'm not sure if there are any other internet service providers in the area. Thanks in advance.

Internet only via CenturyLink (fiber to the house) for $35/month (total, all taxes and fees included) for 40 megabits/sec download and 20 megabits/sec upload. I have my own router. We are south of 466A.

$65 a month for Comcast 25 mgbs with our own router. Can't get over 10 mgbs with Century Link, the only other option in our location.

Brighthouse / Spectrum..............$39 (one year special), $59 after special............60Mbps.

Tested the speed and it's true.

I considered buying my own router to use with my Comcast internet service. The router costs 200 dollars and I pay Comcast 10 dollars per month to rent their router. I concluded that renting the router is a better way to go, primarily because, if my service goes out, and Comcast says the router is defective, they won't do anything to restore my service if I own the router. And, they may be wrong that the router is defective. I could be stuck with no service for a long time. So, I really like having Comcast responsible for repairing their equipment when my service goes out.

Yes, I pay the exact amount with Centurylink.

$49/month Comcast 10mb/sec internet only.

$33.75 CenturyLink and I bought their Router for a $100 on day one. Good service, no problems. A few billing issues like all of them but straightened out now.

Good price!
I'll have to try them again.

That price is with "Autopay" to a credit card and my own router (otherwise they will charge you about $10/month to lease their router). It is essentially the "new customer" price which you can get them to keep extending. We have had that price for essentially 3 years now.

Two years ago Comcast was going to charge me $65 for internet only. I called and after awhile of continuing to tell them I was leaving since I could get service for $25 ot less they gave me one year at $24.99/mo. I live on the north side of The Villages so Comcast is my only "Cable provider" available, but their customer service doesn't seem to know that when I told them I had numerous other options. When that expired I again said I would leave unless a similar deal was available. This year I pay $19.99/mo with auto pay on my credit card. I will negotiate again when this contract is up. Streaming Amazon and Netflix with no problems. Just re-negotiated my SiriusXM contract from an already negotiated $99/yr last year to $25 for a 5 month contract. Today complained enough about my DirecTV (been with them for 10+years) NFL Package of $46.99/mo for 6 months so they gave me enough in credits for the next year to get me to a cost of about $10 (not per month!TOTAL!) for the entire NFL Package. None of these providers want to loose your business so if you have the intestinal fortitude to spend some time breaking through their layers of customer service there is good money to be saved.
