Men's hair styles. Do you like the new man bun?

Do you like pony tails on men?

Blessed2BNTV 06-24-2017 08:24 AM

No, ponytails and no bun. Love a man with short neat hair. Five o'clock shawdow can be sexy looking at times.

I could never pull that off.

NO!!! Then there are those guys who are bald on top but grow the sides/back to make a pony tail. Don't like that look neither but the.....to each their own!!

I used to try that. Looked quite weird on me.

Pony tail and bun, not for me.

Spent my working life sporting a military cut and watching styles come and go. Still doing it with no hankering to jump on board the trend wagon. I guess the man bun is an attempt at androgyny, but it overshoots the mark and lands on effeminacy.

As long as the hair is neat and clean, what difference does the length make? We still in the 60's where a male was called a hippie, homosexual, unAmerican for having long hair?

Yep, Red. Certain styles for certain men. It depends on their overall build & looks. Although I do think that ponytails on bald men look ridiculous!

CF - that's an oxymoron. How can you be bald and have a ponytail? That would take a huge combover

Okay, Okay! My husband is considered bald (a speeding ticket read: "Color of hair--bald") yet he has a ring of hair around his head. that's what I've seen on some men. They grow that out and tie in a ponytail. Thankfully not my guy.

joldnol 06-24-2017 11:43 AM

not new. Man buns have been around for 4 or 5 years

Thankfully he has grown up and left his tie-dyed bell bottoms back in the '60s - if he ever wore them at all.

True, but unfortunately they seem to have taken hold at certain age levels.
