Having negotiated numerous CBA's (on the management side of the table), the last thing that should be allowed would be observers...especially anyone not part of the union or of management. :shrug:

And I was on the other side of the table. I agree, the last thing that should be allowed would be observers.... but this is Flor-a-duh! Collective bargaining agreement negotiations are open to the public, at least in The Villages.:shocked:

I was a Secretary of my local United Transportation Union and on the contract negotiating committee for nearly a decade.
The little old ladies used to say how much they supported us.
It was total B.S.
The hand wringing LOL's were only concerned about themselves and how a strike might effect them. Such is liberalism.
Having a bunch of know nothings at a negotiation would be a nightmare.

I was a ibew member for 35 years and a vp for a few years, only key union and key management would be allowed at the meetings.
