Refrig in the garage?
I am considering moving a refrigerator into the garage, anyone have any trouble with theirs out there? Any trouble with breakers going off?

It will be fine. Keeping it full will use less electricity.

Had one there for over a couple of years. No problem

Some neighbors have them. Seem to have few problems.

We were just given a frig for the garage from a friend who got a new one. Works great, can't believe we waited this long to get one.

Mines been there for about a year or so. No problems. Very convenient.

Make sure it has an ice maker. This makes it easy to load up your cooler with water and Gator Aide for the course. I have had one in the garage for over 15 years no problem.

My Liquid refreshment Fridge was in my Garage in Illinois for 8 years and was then relocated to my Village of Glenbrook garage 5 years ago. Still keeping the adult Beverages cold.

We have had a full size refrigerator in our garage for 10 years. to date not a problem even in the warmest or coldest of days.

Thank you everyone for the responses.

We were concerned about having a fridge and a standup freezer on the same outlet in the garage and had an electrician come out and run a separate outlet with a larger circuit breaker or whatever. No problems with it so far. The two allow for extra beverages and buying of meat in bulk at Sam's Club or Costco (hurry up and open up in The Villages, Costco!) for us. I'm sure it costs us extra electricity to run them but I think we're saving money by buying in bulk and certainly gaining much in convenience. Of course, if we lose electricity for a few days sometime and lose a freezer full of meat, we'll probably be singing a different tune!

One thing to remember is you don't want the fridge on a ground fault outlet. Chances are all your garage outlets are on one or more ground fault circuits. I definitely recommend a dedicated circuit.
