Tub Removal and New Shower Installed

3 Attachment(s)
Another pleased Villages customer who wanted a tub taken out and new shower installed. Tub was small and not used and wanted to have a larger area for the shower. Cement board with waterproofing over all areas. 352-978-3556 wickhamconstruction.com or Wickham Construction LLC. - Home | Facebook

Depending on the tile choice, and if your going to want a glass enclosure, this one is getting installed the first of the week. The bar is where the home owner wanted it so that is where is installed. Really need to come look at the layout and what is wanting to be done. Thanks

It is very, very nice.

My house was built in 2012. If that tile is still available, is it possible just to add tile where the tub is now? I hope that makes sense!

You would have to contact the home warranty office and see if they have your records on the type of tile. Usually tile does not match if a house is a year or so old when you try to match the tile, the die lot colors are different. It is easier to just update the whole shower with new tile. I have seen tile that is a different shade for the original, and looks like a patch job. Even if you get a contrasting tile to go with the tile you leave above the tub, it can still look like a patch job and affect the resale down the road. Hope that helps, Brent 352-978-3556

Unfortunately no, solid slabs can run about twice as much, with the shower pan mold and wall sections, and removing of the old shower.
