Executive Golf question

We are still PTimers and I have a quick question about walking the exec courses... I rarely see anyone doing it, is it discouraged? Also, those of you that do walk them, do you tie your pull cart to your golf cart, or drive your car there with the pull cart ? Silly questions I know, but just curious....

Lots of people walk in the cooler weather. If you have a cart bring your clubs to the course on the cart if not a car and if your close I have seen people walking with clubs on the street.

Many walk the execs.

Wlou, we are seasonal too. We like to walk for the health benefits, so we tie
our push carts to the regular cart....kind of a pain but it works with bungee cords.

Walk vesus ride

I see many more people walking in the winter because they do not pay their trail fees and it does not cost anything to walk.

walking the exec courses

I walk unless it's really hot, when I happen to be there (not retired yet). This way I tell myself if my golf is lousy, at least I got some exercise.

I think you'll find that you can put your clubs on your pull cart, fold everything up and just attach your clubs with the golf cart strap as usual - the wheels of your pull cart just hang over the back edge of your cart. No real need for bungee cords if it fits ok, and I think most will.

Walking the Executive Courses

By all means.....you are encouraged to walk the executive courses. I am a starter at Sandhill and we have lots of walkers....it's good, healthy exercise.

You can drive your golf cart to the course....many people have their pull carts loaded on the back of their carts....or you can rent a pull cart at the course for only $1.00....that's a pretty good deal.

The executive courses are there for one reason....so our residents can play golf...after all you, the residents, own the executive courses. You can even play after hours.......come on down and have a wonderful day on your golf course.:clap2:

We love to walk the execs when it isn't too hot. There are a few that are hillier than others (i.e. Truman) and some that have a long way between holes (Churchill Greens). So you may want to ride a course first to see if the amount of walking would be excessive.
