The Mix
 

We were wondering if anyone else likes the new Feature in the newspaper called NEXT DOOR NEWS. We miss the MIX and all the pictures of our friends an neighbors. Len & Mary

No I don't like it. I always liked seeing pictures of people & families. It would be okay if it was a mix of this and what it was.

Same for us - the "new and improved" sure is new but no way is it improved. Of course we are all shouting in the wind posting like this (including me right now). We need to write to them and give them the straight word in person. Writing might be better than a phone call as the paper letter can be routed easily from desk to desk.

We do not like the new format either. The photos are too small and, if I don't recognize the face, I don't read the interview. Also, there are WAY too many words. I belong to a book discussion group. If I want to read a lot of words, I'll read my book of the month.

I agree. I do not like the new format. It's boring. I don't look at it.

Doesn't sound like your experience changed much between the two then. You probably passed over hundreds of photos in the old format of faces you didn't recognize.

I wish the new look still included a few more pages of photos, but I love that there's actual stories in there now. We weren't getting that before.
