Is this allowed
Yesterday on the un named news site a villager was advertising a room and bath for rent Aug-Nov- are residents allowed to turned their houses into sub-lets,IMHO the person doing the rental is really asking for trouble
|
I seriously doubt it is a sublet. I can't see a homeowner letting a renter sublease.
|
How is this your business? It is known as taking in a boarder. It's not a sublet or sublease. That would involve the whole house.
|
IMHO, when boards come into a neighborhood--IMHO--its an invitation for trouble-have nots bring crime

One of my neighbors has rented one of her bedrooms for years. It gives her company and added income and these people have never been a problem. One was a nice Siberian lady from coldest or nearly that part of Russia. She would go back home and stay here for six months or so working for one of the churches.

This is an option that is advertised on v h 4 r and has been for over a decade. It may be new to the OP but that does not mean it is new and a sign of degradation of The Villages.
|
Check out how many "rooms" are listed on Air BnB, you'll be shocked.
|
Can the people who are renting rooms in Villages homes get temporary Villages ID cards so they can use pools, etc?

IMHO, most homeowners do not research their tenants if they are renting on their own, unlike apt complexes

Let's use some logic

Now, after a moment to reflect on this do you think that owners do not do significant research and investigation of guests (tenants)? All the same background checks that are done (if any) by apartment complexes are available on the internet. |
