Anyone know what has been sprayed on the MMP's north and south of 466a?
It's some kind of petroleum based product that gets slick when it gets wet.

I was on a section today with my bicycle and was wondering if it had been resurfaced. I will tell you, it felt slick and it probably and accident just waiting to happen.

Try visiting Welcome Wednesday each Wednesday at 11 AM at the District Offices Main Conference Room over Starbucks at Sumter Landing. Meetings are open to the public. District Property Management gives an update on the MMP resurfacing progress and has all the answers about what is used, who applies it, etc.

I believe you will find that it's coal tar. Much cheaper than asphalt.

golf cart tires are designed for driving on golf courses not roads==you'll never see any ratings for temperature, traction, and hot surfaces

Actually from what some guy who claimed to be an engineer told me a couple weeks ago when we were slipping and sliding while WALKING from Amelia to LSL it isn't a resurfacing but something that is supposed to keep the pathway from drying out and falling apart from the extreme heat. It didn't add any surface like you see in a parking lot resurface just a penetrating fluid like (as he described it) like skin moisturizer. Sure stinks like asphalt mixed with oil.

Interesting, I see this is tracking onto the cart lane on Pinellas Place, I wonder if that area will be slippery also?
