Looks like he probably wrote a good book as well. Republican Senator Jeff Flake Rails Against Trump, but to What End? - The New York Times

Dr Winston O Boogie jr 08-01-2017 09:04 AM

Jeff Flake is one of the entrenched politicians in Washington. He is part of the swamp that needs to be drained.

The problem that President Trump is going to have is that there are just as many swamp denizens in his own party in the opposing party.

Now, these entrenched Republicans have a big problem as well.

They have to decide if loyalty to their party is more important than loyalty to the good old boy system that has been in place in DC for over 100 years. They have to decide if they're going to put doing what's best for themselves, their careers and the broken system we have in Washington, ahead of what's best for the American public.

The Democrats have a much easier job. They can oppose the president, oppose the Republicans and still strive to maintain the old way of doing things in Washington.

Flake has only been in office since 2013 as a Senator was a Member of the House of Representatives before that. I doubt if he has much clout. Jeff Flake - Wikipedia

With a name like Flake this man will have to try extra hard to gain any traction.

I did, and I'm happy. I also checked them every day during the Obama administration, during which the DJIA more than doubled. Remains to be seen if the Trumpsters can pull off a similar feat.

I also suggest that stocks is not the only way to measure the success of the federal government and it's leaders. I'd suggest that the overall welfare of the populace, including those who can not afford stocks, is a more important metric.

saying or boasting any president caused the stock market to do anything is like saying the date on the calendar is the reason.

Actually the stock market rise during the Obama reign may be somewhat attributable to him.....because the businesses and environment and players all ignored the disaster in Washington and did their own thing.

Hmmm, where have I heard that song before?

It's from $10 TRILLION in borrowing and a Federal Reserve balance sheet of over $4 TRILLION.

The "recovery" was BOUGHT with borrowed money.

Please before I can respond define what you mean by bipartisan government? I make this suggestion because I believe once you enter this exercise you will come to the realities of Washington and our failing political system and chronic health of our nation owning to monolithic /Deep State/bureaucratic/on-responsive/corrupt government. Trump not the problem. Trumps''s being beaten down by the aforementioned also known as the establishment and the establishment comes in all colors, ages, economic status, political affiliations............and clearly since the MSM has no love for Trump most of this rama is off the pages and replaced with the liberal lean narrative

Personal Best Regards:

Have you ever had an original thought, that wasn't plagiarized from some alt-right, right-wing conspiracy, wacko white-supremacist or Russian owned site?

Just wondering, because I have yet to see one.

The liberals...the Ds...don't want to lose/give up the "gains" they've made with Obama the last 8 years. They are now the majority, and they don't want the Rs undoing everything they fought for. They want a liberal friendly president who will continue down the path of destruction the liberal agenda has wrought upon us.

They attack Trump like they attack me. They can't defend their position so they attack the person as a distraction. It's an old...worn out trick.
