Fire last night in Amelia
 

There were several response vehicles including an ambulance. Have not heard anything more about it. Anyone have any idea what happened.?

Not sure where there was an ambulance, but three houses in our neighborhood had a gas line hit by the lightning. There are several TECO trucks and mountains of dirt in front of two houses.

We start an ambulance leaving must've been the initial response

Glad there is no more news on it and apparently everyone's OK

On Jenkins Ct., off Inner Circle, behind the postal station in Amelia.

Two of the Fire Dept calls in Amelia Saturday night were dispatched as structure fires.

It is standard operating procedure in both Sumter County and The Villages to respond an ambulance on any report of a structure fire in addition to the firefighting units.
