Dr. Hill
 

Is anyone familiar with Dr. Hill from Leesburg. He is a neurosurgeon and does herniated disks. I would very much like some opinions.

A fellow band member had surgery on disks in his neck by him and he was very satisfied. I myself am going to Dr Oliver this week for bulging disks in my neck. He was equally highly recommended by my neighbor and he is right in Del Webb near the Marion Market. I think Dr Hill is a good choice also.

Was referred to Dr. Hill several years ago with severe left arm pain. His diagnosis was that immediate Disk Surgery was necessary. When asked what would happen without surgery I was told "the problem will continue to get worse". He wanted to schedule immediate surgery.

Before committing to this I made an appointment with the head of Neurosurgery at the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville. After a one day visit and examination the diagnosis was:

The source of my pain was NOT the Disk Dr Hill wanted to operate on.

Instead they sent me home with a traction device and instructions to use it for a month. After doing just that the pain went away and has never returned.


Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. Based on my experiance Dr. Hill is the last Neurosurgeon I would ever go to.
