Apple, Inc Phone Scam

In the last three hours I have gotten a call from Apple, Inc.(904) 380 3080 explaining that given I have an Apple device they strongly recommend I speak with an advisor immediately at (844) 801 5496 :D

I received an email from Apple saying that someone had used my itunes account and charged $68.00. It said to click here to verify the purchase.

I did not follow their instructions and went to my credit card account. There was no $68.00 charge pending, so I assume it was a scam......beware out there!

I got the same call.

I got an email that apple had disabled my account. Did not open and moved it to junk.

I've had a similar email. Too bad these pond-scum emailers continue to think up new ways to scare people.

jaggy, I did block the call. and because we are getting so many of those unwanted calls I dropped the ring volume to its lowest setting. We will rely on caller ID and voice mail . worse yet they are now calling my cell phone

The Do Not Call Registries are a total waste. You would think the telephone companies would have an effective program .......................?

We had the same call. Funny because we don't have Apple products!!! Don't ever answer as they have a way of then giving you even more robo-calls and scams.
