Pop up ads with voice on speakers
Now on TOTV I am getting ads that start speaking over the speakers. I immediately close the site and it stops.
Sorry, but that is not acceptable. Every web site subjects you to ads, and I understand that is how they stay in business. But when the ad starts to broadcast it's message over my speakers, I will not open that site. There are statistics that show web sites that do that start to have a decline in hits. So will TOTV. That should not happen, but something they have done causes it to happen. |
That happens on a lot of sites and it is annoying. I just mute my computer.

I use Google Chrome browser and since I downloaded Fair Adblocker two years ago, I haven't seen a popup or an ad. I posted this a couple of months ago and several people were very happy afterwards, here it is again. Download the second item, 'Fair AdBlocker' and you can add the first one as well.

Stop Autoplay
I think it's a function of your browser, not TOTV. Your solution might be found here?
Stop HTML5 autoplay videos in Chrome, Firefox, Opera (but not Edge, Explorer, Safari) | PCWorld |
Agree.....I installed Ad Blocker several years ago and pop up adds don't appear. Some sites will recognize that I use them (Forbes is one) and won't allow content unless I disable the ad blocker or subscribe......other sources for the same information so Forbes has now been blocked by me on my news services. Some things we can still control.

It's not TOTV it's either your browser or an ad being delivered through Googles ad networks.
