New restaurant at Havana

Does anyone have any info on the new restaurant going into the Havana CC? I heard it will be run by the owners of Johnny Rockets and Red Sauce (or was it City Fire?).

Bonny, I know you're often on top of these things. :mmmm: Any info you can share?

On another thread regarding Havana cc restaurant, the new owners are purported to be the owners of Johnny Rockets and Red Sauce. Given this, this would not be their "first rodeo so to speak" and would be a plus in my opinion. The previous thread regarding this restaurant had a number of posts with opinions on best practice methods to operate a successful restaurant in The Villages. Perhaps the new owners will take some of the suggestions and make their new venture successful.

I'm pretty sure they aren't going to come on here to get suggestions on how they should run a restaurant. They have it pretty well figured out. ;)

Do you have any idea of what the new menu will be? Gee, I hope it's something DIFFERENT.

I don't know what you mean by different. They are keeping a few of the dishes and have added a nice variety of other dishes.

Hi, Bonny. By different, I mean perhaps a few items not available here, e.g., Cuban, Puerto Rican, Creole, Cajun, down south Southern, Korean (a personal favorite), Greek, Portuguese, Malasian, real Mexican home cooking (not just tacos and such). Or how about pick a country, any country, and feature the cuisine with five dishes and a few apps for a month.

I'm an adventurous eater. Actually, you'd be hard pressed to find something I wouldn't eat.

Curious about Havana Restaurant

Does anyone know if Havana's new owners might bring back the singing servers? We enjoyed Havana when they were there before and as I recall, the place was usually crowded so I'm guessing others enjoyed them as well.

Bonny, do you have any insights?

IMHO, any restaurant that resorts to singing waiters is in their death throws-The older Havana and Tierra Del Sol were prime examples--in general its like dinner theaters poor mix of entertainment & food-- do one thing right and you have a winner

I like singing waiters.

Henryk 09-17-2017 04:31 PM

I doubt they are not making decisions on entertainment right now. I assume they just want to get opened and settled.
