Dog Food Desperately Needed At Animal Shelter
 

I just messaged South Lake Animal League (aka The Animal League) and they said one of their big needs since they got hit by the hurricane is dog food. They said they use Pedigree dog and puppy food. At this point, they don't care what flavor. You can have it shipped direct to them, if you want to order some from their Amazon Wish List. Their Wish List is their yearly list (so there are things on there they needed before the Hurricane ever hit). You can get their contact info on their website, if you want to contact them yourself.

I got my dog from them. They are in Lake County about 13 minutes from Leesburg.

Sent them puppy and adult dog food from Amazon Wish List

Per their facebook request, I sent a paypal donation this morning. Their thrift store, which helps to support them is still closed. Besides food, they are asking for monetary donations help cover medicine and to pay the bills. GeoGeo, from what I have read, this sounds like a great organization. I hope they get back on their feet soon.

If anyone else is wanting to donate dog food, they are still in need of both dog and puppy food or monetary donations. I think I read that they have over 100 mouths to feed and a lot of vet bills. And please keep them in mind because not after being hit by the hurricane, but all year long they need help with supplies, dog food, vet bills, and other necessary items like utilities, etc.

I have tried to Private Message and thank each of you for your kind donations to help this shelter out in time of need and I will try to Private Message anyone else who posts that they donated. I am not a volunteer with them, but I do try to help them out, as one of my dogs did come from there. I actually volunteer with a dachshund rescue. But I just wanted to thank everyone who has donated so far. I know they really appreciate it. I hope I didn't miss sending any of you a private thank you. Thank you all.
