LSL eye sores...

Lake Sumter Landing, for all you Village newbies..I've arrived at The villages five or six months ago, and have yet to see the repairs on the roped off lake pier, looks like a boat rammed the pier a while back..Villagers would like that spot, to do some fishing and feed a gator or two, if spotted..Also the navigational hazard of the sunken boat, needs to scraped, so other boats can dock there....

This is a joke thread, right? I can't tell.

If it keeps people from breaking the law and feeding the gators, I hope it remains roped off.

I have read all of his posts and I can't tell.

For eyesores, I recommend Visine eye drops.

These eyesores seem benign when compared to ladies wearing white shoes after Labor Day.

You think that's bad? I have decided to BE white after Labor Day. ;)

I'm pretty sure the OP was joking because he picked two activities that are not allowed, he needs to understand that when you are using satire on an internet message board you should include an emoticon such as the jester :jester: For feeding alligators, just consider that is off limits everywhere in Florida. For fishing in TV here are the rules:
  • All fishermen are required to comply with federal, state and local laws, statutes and ordinances while fishing within the boundaries of The Villages. (Licenses are required for those 16 years of age or older. No license is required for those over 65 with proof of age.) For licensing information visit Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. . Licensing can be purchases at your local Wal-Mart.
  • Fishermen may fish in any lake, canal or stream, whether natural or man made, which can be reached without crossing over or trespassing upon any privately owned property or golf courses.
  • Fishermen are prohibited to fish in Lake Sumter, Harmeswood or other areas with "No Fishing" signs posted.
  • Any person crossing into jurisdictional wetlands is in volition of state and federal law and may be prosecuted.
  • If you have any questions regarding this policy, please call Recreation Administration at 352-674-1800.

Don't overlook the fleets of ships that cannot dock.

I don't think people appreciate our lighthouse enough. No one ever mentions how much good it does, and how many large vessels would run into each other without it.

That's only at low tide.

I wish I could be as funny as all of you, but I'm not. I just enjoy and appreciate those who are.
