How deep is Lake Sumter? For those of you who have lived in The Villages for a long time, does anyone remember how long it took to dredge to make Lake Sumter? Watching the lake being "created" must have been an interesting process to witness in person.

Lake Miona and Lake Deaton are natural (not man-made) lakes correct?

I am also very interested in the history of creating Lake Sumter. Anyone know of any reference material or individual I could interview?
