Ceiling Cracks in Lanai
:pray:Has there been any recent developments regarding the ceiling cracks? It's been at least 6 months since we were asked to submit photos and details to the POA (I think).

Lanai's and garages are open areas and subjected to temperatures and moisture. Sheet rock or drywall is a porous material and will absorb moisture. It will expand and contract. I have owned three houses in TV and currently own two. Unless you enclose or condition the space you are going to have cracks. Currently live in a home less than two years old and had a crack in the lanai. It is a very simple repair. I do not see where this is a big deal.

They crack because there are no studs underneath the seam.

We had them until the summer of 2016. Then the people repainting the house repaired the cracks. So far, all is good, no cracks.

Mine have been fixed and are back again. Your correct no studs under the end seams. Lanai & Garage both
