Tillerson, former head of the Boy Scouts of America, was incensed at how Trump politicized a speech he gave to the group. Trump ranted about fake news and his political opponents.

He could have chosen a different word:

addlepate, blockhead, boob, dimwit, dingbat, dolt, dope, dork, dumbbell, dummy, dunce, fool, halfwit, idiot, ignoramus, imbecile, lamebrain, loony, loser, mental defective, simpleton

But moron is so fitting

I still cannot understand how some of my friends voted for this man. I know Hillary Clinton was an extremely poor option, but still....

Then you should seriously understand that this administration and President are more dysfunctional than ever ever anticipated.

I understand the vote.

What I do not and never will understand is, as we watch our country sink into a mud pit, and getting worse, how the support, even if low still exists.....how, on this forum, reasonably intelligent people will try to defend him.

Defend is a strong word, because nobody on here defends him.....they simply call others names. You cannot excuse in anyway what is being done to our country.

AS one recent example....is the inclusion of Chad on the banned countries from the US. Chad has for years been a partner and a good one in fighting terrorism world wide, especially in sharing information. No one knows why. We are used to in this country to having our foreign policy explained just a little bit.

Another post filled with hate and no substance....filled with NO information and simply attacks.

Your dealing with somebody who Trump has already talked about. This is one of those who would support him even if he shot somebody in Times Square. He also probably has a statue of Sean Hannity on his front lawn. Nobody complains about him because he never leaves the house.

And this is all true, why? Because somebody said so or wrote it? This is what I don't get - hanging on to every word of these reporters, and I mean that going both ways, liberal and/or conservative. Where is the proof of this? Statements in an article that contain words such as "reportedly" and "a US official" (no name, of course) doesn't hold water with me. If it's all true, I agree, it is concerning. But most of the "news" reporting today wouldn't pass muster in a HS journalism class.

Did you see the video..VIDEO of Trump using young boys to chant for him and actually antinClinton chants...it is on video.

SAME thing happened with Obama...the country sank more and more. We became a minority majority under Obama...quite an accomplishment...it was the point of no return for America.

EVERY single President or leader is subject to reporters. To simply deny anything negative WITHOUT EVER SUPPLYING ANY VALIDATION, while the media is very clear , if not specific names, departments or area from where they get their news. They, by the way have been all over the airways substantiating their story.

We are so fortunate to have this free press right now. We know about all the private servers being used by the family in the White House...we know of the ethics are having such frustration with the President for on going violations, etc etc, and all we get is fake news, no responses to questions.

With just Trump and his zealots, we would be at the mercy of a chronic liar and cheat. He can't even get in the same page with his Secy if state or defense on foreign policy.

When you can show me any evidence backing your hero's accusations, I will listen. I insist the media give me back up..their editors demand back up....why should you and Trump get a pass ?

We do know that Trump lies with his tweets...if you need links or anything to prove that, I will be shocked but they are readily available. His use of a claim fake news, ALWAYS...EVERY TIME PROVEN, to anything negative is meant for followers like you. Never has he ever provided any basis for his charges, not only with the media, but on any of his accusations.

Obama was fed marshmallow questions from the press, most whom claimed they felt thrill run up their leg every time he spoke.

Trump on the other hand doesn't even get questions because the "free press"is too busy throwing accusations at him or calling him names.

there was a time I had to deal with the press ans what i learned is that they already had written the story they wanted all they wanted was to say I was contacted.

I don't like some of the things Trump says and does. however if I were Trump I would also refuse to talk to the press their mostly jackals
