“Give A Hoot 2” A Good Ol’-Fashioned Hootenanny Benefiting Local Charities
 

The Villages Pops Chorus is proud to sponsor “Give A Hoot 2! ” a good ol’-fashioned Hootenanny to benefit Tutors for Kids and the Sumter Youth Center. The performers are The Pops Chorus Folksingers, 13 Pops Chorus members who have performed folk songs at many of the Pops Chorus concerts. The group performs the great folk songs made famous by Peter Paul and Mary, The Kingston Trio, New Christy Minstrels, The Brothers Four, John Denver, Bob Dylan, and many other musicians of the era. The show will have you singing and clapping along to the rousing upbeat music, and reflecting on the beautiful ballads of this special musical era. Joining the group will be professional folk singers Playnfoke. This will be the group’s second hootenanny following a sold out performance in February. The show will take place on Tuesday October 24 at 6 PM at North Lake Presbyterian Church. All tickets are $15 general admission. Tickets are on sale at all Villages Box Office locations and will be available at the door.
