Guy Fieri

I just got back from lunch at Guy's. I had Cordon Bleu pasta and cousin Mona had Chicken Pot Pie.

I have to say, both were absolutely delicious.

We went at 2:30 and there was no wait whatever.

I had a Bloody Mary. OMG, it arrived with a virtual salad on top: two (count 'em) skewers on each of which were cucumber, carrot, capicola, chorizo (nicely smoked), a large olive, a grape tomato, lemon wedge and something else that I'm forgetting. The bloody was very good (I love tomato juice). I would have had another but I couldn't handle another antipasto course on top of the first one. ;)

We both brought home enough (food, not bloody) for a second meal.

The host told us we had arrived at a good time, since it was mobbed at lunch.

Here is a picture from Fieri's in Las Vegas that I pulled off the internet. Did your a Bloody Mary look similar? I could have one of them and then ask for the dessert menu.

Wife and I ate there recently. My Mac & Cheese Burger was very good, but I don’t think I’ll convince my wife to go back. She doesn’t eat meat only the occasional fish, so the Lump Crabcake sandwich was the only thing on the menu she would eat. Two thumbs downs - not a chunk of crabmeat in it. A big ripoff at $17.95.

Dropped by yesterday had two chilled grey gooses--thats the best vodka they carry--pleasantly surprised by a bartender, that we have know from her travels to & fro between different establishments in the area, for years

During our conversation she told about a serious medical condition with her daughter=I know that long term rehab can really cost a lot

Gave her a substantial gift to help

However, looking @ the decor and menu--we will not return for anything but a drink

How much is a Grey Goose martini at Guy's????

Just curious;

How much is a Grey Goose martini at Guy's?

How much is a large tip?

That Bloody Mary is "gimmick" to the max. I dread to think the added cost to the customer for that garnishment.

Chatbrat 10-27-2017 10:25 AM

The gift was $1000.00--don't remember what we paid for the martinis--probably in the $20..00+ neighborhood--

Sounds good and looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to try that Bloody Mary. Glad the whiners will stay away and not interfere with the rest of us out having some good fun.

Best

I so wanted to be wowed but was not. We were there at 1:15, not terribly busy. Cold food, our order got misplaced and wasn't made - still fries, burger, mussels arrived cold and the waitress was not attentive; another in our party had her advocado on the side - the pieces had brown spots thruout: not very appetizing. When pointed out to waitress she agreed she would not eat them either and walked away. We did not leave until 3:00, when we were finally able to pay the bill.

Yes, she is a sweet heart. It's been a rough road for her sweet daughter.

We went to Guy Fieri last night. It didn't take long to figure out who you and CB were talking about. She is my wifes' favorite since years ago at Codys. Her daughter is doing very well, but still has hurdles to overcome. Prayers for her are certainly in order.

You are good people. It is a blessing to help others in need.

I've been to Guy Fieri's four times now with from four to 12 people in our group. The best food is superb, the worst was above average (the group's conclusion). One of my personal favorite plates is the Modley Que. If your first experience was not to your liking do yourself a favor and try it again. I doubt you'll be disappointed a second time.
