Could anyone let me know where the closet SS office is near the Villages??

This came up on a search of the Social Security website for Zip 32162:

Social Security does an awful lot online these days. You might call, get the URL for whatever forms you need, fill them out online and submit them that way and never have to go to Leesburg. If you do have to go, call first and make an appointment. Walk-ins take "quite awhile" to be seen.

With all of the Seniors living in TV, I would have thought that SS would have an office located somewhere in TV or the immediate area. If WalMart can do it, why not SS? Just wondering . . . . but it makes sense to me.

Keep in mind the growth of TV in the last 15 years. And remember that it takes any gov't, especially the Fed, forever to get something conceived, designed, approved at various levels, funded, procured, and built.

People will drive over an hour to have dinner.....but cannot drive 20 minutes to a SS office? But then again that is hard to tell from VA.
