Community Watch / Security
I signed up for Community watch shortly after buying in TV. One of the best, very small, expenses I ever had. I live out of the area and frequent TV as often as I can. They use a long checklist and check the house with a walk around outside 2-3 times a week. For the sick or handicapped they can also knock on the door and check on you. Very good and cheap costing service.

You must be paying more than my neighbor. They spend all of 60 seconds walking around the house once per week.

What they claim to do and what is actually done are frequently two different things. Of course, Community Watch doesn’t help if you have a water leak or irrigation issue. I think they’re great for elder checks and if you’re going away for a week or two, but if gone longer than that, I’d find something more reliable and thorough.

I have the Ring doorbell camera and a couple of other cameras and can attest to the fact that they do walk around my house 2-3 times a week. I am single and can also attest to the fact that they knock on the door and ckeck on me when I am there. The Community watch office should be contacted if someone feels the service is not as billed.

Do they expect/accept gratuities? If so that might make a difference in the attention one gets from them.
|
I didn't know they did this. What is the cost?
|
Cost is $4-5 per month. Billed on a monthly basis or you can pay for a year at a time. No gratuity required.
