Who uses the Cyprus Bank to launder money?
"You see the fingerprints of the Russian government here. Papadopoulos meets with a professor, who just happens to be able to hook you up with a Russian government ministry of foreign affairs official. Ministry of foreign affairs is often a cover position for Russian intel," Figluzzi said.
"We see Manafort and Gates representing Ukrainian pro-Russian presidential candidate. The party is pro-Russia. They are told to put their money for consulting in a Cyprus bank. Who uses the Cyprus bank to launder money? The Russian intelligence service." Ex-FBI Official: Mueller Probe 'Has Penetrated The White House' | Crooks and Liars And you know who sat on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Cyprus? Wilbur Ross, Trump's pick for Secretary of Commerce. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalex.../#165e3c5f1c90 |
Wilbur Ross, was vice-chair and leading investor in the Bank of Cyprus, the island’s largest bank, which was “one of the key offshore havens for illicit Russian finance," according to an extensive investigative report by financial journalist James Henry of DCReport.org. "Ross has been Vice Chairman of this bank and a major investor in it since 2014. His fellow bank co-chair evidently was appointed by none other than Vladimir Putin.” Just before being appointed Trump's Secretary of Commerce, Ross apparently moved several billion dollars out of his personal accounts, in direct violation of the law. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalex.../#6982f0a223cb

Ross’ involvement in the Bank of Cyprus raises many questions about his judgment, but also about the Trump Administration’s seemingly endless direct and indirect connections with friends and associates of Vladimir Putin.

Answer: everybody who does business with Russia. Remember the "Cyprus banking crisis" -- that was mostly Russian money. Everything in Russia is shady. Don't give us this squeaky-clean crap when it comes to Russian business.

These guys are like that clown car where clowns keep coming out from inside. "Attorney General Jeff Sessions now remembers nixing the idea of a campaign meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump last year, according to reports Thursday. According to court documents, the sitdown was proposed by Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, who has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI." This is from MARCH....a great read
"While names like Carter Page, Roger Stone and Michael Flynn dominate headlines amidst allegations of possible collusion with Russia, there’s another angle to Donald Trump’s connections to the former Soviet Union that’s only beginning to receive the attention it deserves. This is the series of murky financial dealings that often make little business sense. Taken on their own, many of these transactions appear perfectly legal. Viewed together, they show patterns suspicious enough that they should qualify for investigation under U.S. laws aimed at combatting money laundering, tax evasion, and other hard to track financial misdeeds. One particularly good example of this pattern involves Trump’s billionaire Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, and his former role as vice chairman of the Bank of Cyprus. His case is just one piece of the puzzle that may be reflective of other dealings that warrant much closer scrutiny." I hope Mueller gets to finish the job, wherever the evidence may lead.
