Custom Storm Window
 

I want to hire someone to measure and install a custom storm window in my bedroom for noise reduction. I cannot seem to find a company who will do it. Please help.

It will help if you will tell us who you have already contacted. Then we might be able to recommend a different company.

I contacted Custom Windows and Exterior Designs, T and D Concrete, Brian Terry Vinyl, and several others that I don't remember. Most will enclose a lanai, but will not install a window. I seems very strange to me that a company called Custom Windows and Exterior Designs will not install a simple window. I was going to let them enclose my lanai for about $8,000, but, when they told me that they would not also install a storm window, I told them to forget it.

Search the web for "transparent hurricane shutters". That would probably give the noise reduction you are looking for.

There are a number of companies that install them.

My guess though would be that it would be rather expensive to install just one hurricane shutter or one storm window.
