I haven't read Brazille's book, or Hillary's book. I do know Fox keeps clanging that Hillary bell all the time and they are virtually the only station which does. You would almost think Fox believes Hillary is still some kind of threat. She won't be running again, she's been a private citizen for over 7 years, she's a grandmother taking walks in the woods. She did nothing wrong despite years of Republicans trying to pin everything on her. It is pathetic that Fox can't find another subject to pummel.

The Dem win in VA was not due to Trump or any overwhelming move to the left. I was simply due to the changing demographics of the voters from conservative to the leftists in No. VA, Richmond and Norfolk areas. Nothing more and nothing less. Given these demographics VA will be a blue lefty state for the rest of our lifetimes. Urban areas are really dominating U.S. elections to the dismay of most areas of the country. No wonder the lefties do not like the Electoral College.

Yes, I heard Fox say that very same thing.

I don't like the Electoral College for the same reason I prefer an automobile to a horse and carriage. The Electoral College was set up in 1787 when the only way to count votes was by someone going from town to town on horseback, collecting paper votes. It completely destroys the idea of "one man, one vote".

As far as urban areas, yes, they do tend to collect the more liberal and the more highly educated...since that's where the jobs are. God bless our farmers, but I sure didn't want to be one.

That is certainly the wall to wall talk on Fox and any right wing website.

Truth is that it is a combination of a few things.

Certainly demographics played a part.....also more educated voters came out (see exit polls) and since Trump, the are leaving Republican Party.

My opinion....it has to do with Trump. First, you cannot ignore his approval ratings; they are not made up and are very consistent. His extremism (white populist nationalism extremism) is going to drive voters NOT an overwhelming move to the left, but an attempt to move toward center, as Trump moves further and further away from Republican ideals and values.

It does not mean a move to the left, but I assume you support Trump, and most of his followers close their eyes and never see him at fault. It is not only domestically where Trump is hurting...read today where almost 70% of our allies don't trust him.

When the world sees the United States as the single only country IN THE ENTIRE WORLD not to feel climate is a problem. Whether the Paris Accord can do anything or not, we really look like idiots.

You also need to look at the down ballot in VA. That was a landslide without a question, and THAT reflects the party.

I am aware that Trump supporters ignore the polls, but I suggest, IF you want to be grounded, read them. His approval ratings keep declining....that lack of trust keeps increasing.

Also be aware, that according to exit polls and others, the number one issue in Virginia was health care. Followed by corruption.
