Electrician

Any suggestions on a licensed, insured electrical contractor. I need one to look at the breakers. The kitchen/bath lights are not working. The breaker tripped and it does not feel right. Thanks.

I second Mike Scott's. They have done a variety of jobs for us, and we find them very knowledgeable.

Here are a couple if things to check on your own. First move the breaker handle all the way to the off position and than to the on position, check the lights, and then look at the breaker. If the breaker is in the ON position and the lights are still not working, then as stated above, go to the GFCI. Press the TEST button, and then the RESET button, you should hear a click, check the lights. If they are still not working then, yes you probably need an electrician, but since you would be replacing either the breaker or the GFCI, these are items that a homeowner can do, so you may be able to get away with a handyman.

OP, I have heard of breakers failing, if it does not 'feel' right, that may very well be the problem.
