David Cassidy's last words
It is said by his daughter that his last words were "so much wasted time"
By living here in The Villages, we can fill our days to the fullest I speak to myself and to others, Let's live each day to the fullest |

The poem "To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time" by 17th century poet Robert Herrick always seemed appropriate, even more so since moving to The Villages.
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles today Tomorrow will be dying. The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun, The higher he’s a-getting, The sooner will his race be run, And nearer he’s to setting. That age is best which is the first, When youth and blood are warmer; But being spent, the worse, and worst Times still succeed the former. Then be not coy, but use your time, And while ye may, go marry; For having lost but once your prime, You may forever tarry |
"Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."

If I just wanted to wast time, I would have moved to a NON-active adult community.

No need to move to the Villages to fulfill an active retirement life unless you lived in the sticks. Most of my neighbors moved here for the weather or lower taxes not because there was nothing to do up north.

I guess the quote is saying that we don't have to be accomplishing something 100% of the time. |
