Its Economics 101

" Ink's Coffee has 16 locations in the Denver area. One of those locations in historic Five Points. Five points is know as the Harlem of the West and at its height had a population of 32,000. but then for decades neighborhoods deteriorated because of drugs, crime ans urban flight.

However since 2000 there has been an economic boom with five Points becoming the hippest part of town.

The 15,000 population as of 2015 is comprised of 79% white, 21% Latino and 10% black. the average income is $81,000. Yet 40% of blacks and Latinos live in poverty.

Protests ensued and a window at Ink Coffee broken and a sign inserted that read " White Coffee". protesters demand rent control and subsidized housing. These protest are disrupting businesses who ironically provide jobs for many of Five Points residents

Housing affordable is a Denver wide issue. Government can and should relax zoning issues so more housing can be built.

However these protesters, in the meantime, are destroying economic opportunity by protesting against business investments .

Its Economics 101"

Blacks protested...because they're stupid n!@@ers who CAN'T do ANYTHING constructive on their own and ALWAYS have their hand out.

WHY don't THEY improve their own neighborhoods? BECAUSE THEY CAN'T!!!
