We are looking for a CPA to process our taxes which are pretty straight forward, no write-offs, etc.

My two suggestion if "pretty straight forward" are TurboTax or one of the local H&R Block offices.
These days TT is more than adequate,

I think you'll find the local Blocks filled with experienced/retired skilled preparers and in fact, one of them is a premium office usually with several Enrolled Agents doing taxes. My disclaimers: yes I used to prepare for Block in another part of the country, and NO, i do not know the local Block people, only the high level of training they've had (both through Block and in previous lives).

Google The Villages Tax-Aide. Well-trained and helpful Villagers will do your taxes by appointment for free. From your post, it is highly unlikely you need a CPA.

I use Turbotax. Very easy. You really don't need a CPA.
