Need new cooktop
 

Our GE Profile 30" cooktop is 10 years old and one of the elements just went out. Any recommendations for replacement of the cooktop?

Check "Consumer Reports" magazine.

When this happened to our Jenn-Air up north, my husband was able to just replace the element under the cooktop - no need to replace whole cooktop.

Not sure if the same can be done with GE cooktops, but you may want to call them or do an internet search for the answer.
