Electric water heaters have sacrificial anodes
Has any ever had one replaced one in TV? How did the plumber get the old one out & install a new one when the water heater is installed in a closet in the garage with minimum overhead clearance? |
They make collapsible anode bars for that application
|
Home Depot has them for about $35

You can get collapsible anode rods but wouldn't the original rod installed at the factory be one piece? If it's one piece, how would the plumber remove it?

Simply install a drywall ceiling access panel. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...72abb35b94.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
pull it up grasp with a vise- grip, cut off the top piece, repeat the process till the entire old rod is out
thanx for the info |
