Acrylic Lanai
Being new around TV , having spent a few months in a CYV wa s wondering what an Acrylic lanai cost and any pro's and or con's, any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Chazz Will be looking for a CYV ina few months, YEA:wave: |
We went with double pane insulated glass when enclosing our CYV. Cost a little more but worth it IMHO.

Double pane glass with low E is
-- more energy efficicent...less glare -- withstands winds up to 110MPH vs 70mph(Major benefit for Glass.and you dont know it until you need it) -- Framing for windows should be more structuraly sound -- acrylic windows will eventually scratch and become unsightly -- double pane window should last 25-30 years -- cost is slightly more for glass but your pay back is all of the above -- If installed properly neither glass or acrylic windows should leak, but if you throw in the wind factor..glass is more secure, The negative with glass is that it may add to your tax base of your home but again the added amount is negligible ($100-200 /year for a designer) compared to the benefits gained and personal comfort. |
