Thank goodness for the "Hide Classifieds" button.

Of course you're right, but it also seemed like it happened right when some classified-related technical issues were addressed. I wondered if there might be a connection somehow.

Yes, I have noticed that there are a lot more classifieds showing up, but what I also noticed it that if you actually go to the classified, that are al lot fewer NEW ones there. No idea why all the others are showing up.

Currently, when an ad is created in Classified, the system creates a duplicate thread in Items for Sale on the main board. As a result, members will see the normal number of threads in Items for Sale increase by the new threads created by the system.

As mentioned above, the Hide Classified button will work.

Probably because people don't waste their time going to the classified section and the mods are now forcing us to see all the classifieds.

I thought there was a technical reason of some sort...more than just the holiday-items-for-sale increase. :)

No that is not the case at all. If there are more classifieds it is just because more people are using them.

To prevent users from complaining we have an option where you can 'hide classifieds' or 'show classifieds'.
