Reply from Google about missing streets south of CR466
 

Got this reply to an email I sent to Google a few weeks ago.

Hi Thomas,

Your Google Maps problem report has been reviewed, and you were right! We'll update the map within a month and email you when you can see the change.

Sounds like something from a Stephen King book/movie.
Was there a recent fog?
Or a giant turtle spotted in the area?:22yikes:

Thanks RVRoadie, for the information from Google. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon, until then I suggest Mapquest.


Problem still exists, we noticed it last week when we tried to send someone directions to TV. Note the example below, after you leave Stillwater Trail street names are gone.

1. Head south on FL-35 S/US-301 S toward Co Rd 466

3. Continue onto Co Rd 112

You can access street maps that include that area using Yahoo or Mapquest. I just did both and all streets are there.

I just tried doing a Google Map search on Canton Ohio (error was reported on local TV the other day) and it still points you to Massillon Ohio. Sliding the map over to the East I see that they at least have the name changed from Colesville back to Canton. So be careful when doing your Google Map searches.
