Is it true?

Is this site really working this time? I haven't been able to log on since ~ August! If it's really working for me this time, Hello Everybody!

uujudy 11-04-2009 08:46 PM

I'm so happy!

Yes! It worked! I'm back!

tony 11-04-2009 09:26 PM

Welcome back, Judy. I wondered where you were.

uujudy 11-04-2009 10:17 PM

I have tried and tried, Tony. I even made up up a new villages ID. I could read all the the messages, but it wouldn't let me reply to any of them. The way I finally got it to work was to paste the link from a totv email into my browser and log on from there. Maybe this tip will help somebody else.

Whether I'll be able to log on again is a mystery.

Welcome back Judy!! Glad you found your way back to TOTV :coolsmiley:.
I remember I had problems for a few days in August trying to sign on :Screen_of_Death:, and then not having a computer for a few weeks when I moved here, it was terrible not getting the daily fix with all our wonderful TOTV friends. Glad you found your way back home. :highfive:

Oh U. There U are!!!

Is it U Judy?? U were sorely missed. I hope U remember the combination and that U don't go missing anytime soon. We need U around here!!!

uujudy 11-05-2009 10:44 AM

Oh you guys are wonderful! I am so glad to be back!

Tony, thank you for the email information. I had no way to tell you I couldn't post messages!

JeanneBeannie, you're absolutely right! It's hard not getting the daily totv fix. I could READ all the posts, but I couldn't reply -- And my big mouth (big fingers?) was/were itching to reply!

GracieGirl, I sure hope I remember the secret combination! I'm so glad to hear from you!

Did you all know that an asteroid exploded over Indonesia in October? :22yikes: Or that October also marked the biggest and most active sunspot of the year -- and we've had the least active sunspot activity (solar minimum) in ages?

Oh there's so much I wanted to tell everybody! lol Now that I'm back (cross your fingers, throw salt over your shoulder, spin around 3 times...) I'll try to keep you all updated. :024:

Judy! Judy! Judy!

Bet you didn't get tired of your name when Cary Grant was saying it!!! Hahaha! Welcome back sweetie! Were you wondering aimlessly around TV??? Happy you're home!

Bring it on sistah! I love your news from the heavens!

uujudy 11-05-2009 07:56 PM

Thanks Chels! It's good to be back. This is the third time in a row that it worked! And yes, I've been wandering aimlessly around TV.

UU's Back in Town! (That's a song -- sort of.)

Hi Judy,

This is wonderful news.

Ironically, just a couple of nights ago, the moon was really bright, not full, but waning gibbous, and there were clouds drifting in front of it. And you know what I said? I said, "The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas." And when I said it, I thought about your astronomy posts and how I had not seen one for a long time, and now, here you are!

Ohhhhh, UU, there was an awful night a couple of months ago when Mr. Tony tried to tell us where to look in the night sky to see meteor showers or something like that and his directions were so horrendous that my head is still not back on straight.

Had you been able to log on and had you posted the directions, I might have had a chance at seeing those meteor showers.

In fact, I decided to go get the thread where those awful directions were given and show it to you so that you can be properly horrified, too.

Thank goodness you're back to give us understandable directions for looking at wonderful things in the night sky.

Here is the old thread. We sure missed you, Judy.

While you were out...........

Hey Boomer! It's so good to be back! This is something like the 5th time in a row that I've been able to get back here. :pepper2: Please, keep your fingers crossed that it keeps working.

I clicked on your link about Tony's instructions for viewing the perseids, and OH TONY! HAHAHAHA! I'm still laughing. It's amazing that everybody here hasn't been to a chiropractor! (I missed the whole thread about the meteor shower in August. That shows you how long I've been locked out!) Ay carumba! You guys are lucky to get out alive! Not that Tony wasn't trying to help.... Thanks, Tony.

The road was a ribbon of moonlight, and the 57 chevy was blue? Do I have that part right? :p

It is SO good to be back here! I sure did miss you all!

Judy

Hey! Just you wait to see if I try to help any more. Harrumph.

It was as simple as "You put your left foot in. You put your left foot out. . . ."

What could have been simpler?

Geez, try to tell an English major where to find a meteor or two.

T T T Tony, he's full of baloney.... (everybody sing!) :girlneener:
I am not, nor was I ever, an English major. Majorette, yes. lol

Consider this: What if that IS what it's all about?
