Window Replacement Cost

Can anyone give me a very rough cost estimate for window replacement in an amarillo. Rough cost per window installed. Just looking for a ballpark figure. Thanks

No idea why you are looking to replace windows, but if you are having problems, and the house is less than 10 years old, call home warranty, the windows may be covered, and you would only need to cover the installation and measurement costs. In any case I would call home warranty first.

Here's what I would do

Why not provide the measurements to home depot to get the window cost then add a figure for installation. They can tell you what to measure I would start at 250-300 a window to install. That is a guess.

This experience will give you an idea how the choices in Windows and impact the variables have on price. HD does have different qualities of windows.

I have installed my own Windows It was worth the thousands that I saved. Were they as good as the ones that were four times as much? Who knows, they were better than I had and will last 20 years.

Window World about $300.00 per window. Free estimate. You will be impressed with their windows. That was 4 years ago.

Am in process of getting 6 windows in an Amarillo style house replaced. Got quotes on installed windows from Lowes, Romac, and WindowWorld. All quotes were in the range of $500/window, installed. These are dual-pane, single sash, vinyl windows. Lead times were all in the 6-8 weeks time frame. I decided to go with WindowWorld because their quality and price match seemed the best combination. My windows are manufactured and were just shipped to the Ocala warehouse so installation should be soon. My neighbor replaced his windows using Lowe's and did his own installation with the help of another guy. So figure $250-300 per window if doing yourself.

I have a set a Window World windows in one room and HD windows in the remainder. The ww ones ended up at well above the advertised price after the issues they found during installation. I suspect that this is always the case and the cost will, on average, be far above the advertised price.

Now on to quality: HD windows are better. The seals are better, more substantial. The locks are better, more solid. Now both work well. The ww experience is what drive me to HD windows, no regrets.

Edit to add details: this is a comparison to the cheapest HD windows to upgraded WW windows. WW windows do not include E coating without a upcharge, for example.
