Internet...Xfinity?
Who has the highest speeds and most consistent service? Xfinity seemed to be rated pretty highly...???
|
I have Comcast, and around 140 meg speed, but at this point, I cannot recommend Comcast. Over the last month I have experienced multiple outages, 3 today alone, a 2 day outage about 3 weeks ago, and about 6 outages in between. Just spoke to another acquaintance who strangely enough, just had a 2 day outage a few days ago. I even got an agreement that I would be credited for the 2 days I was without service, yeh right, that never happened.
Depending on where you live in TV, you may have fiber direct to the house, not sure who the Internet supplier is for this, but fiber allows for much higher speeds. Good luck in your quest. |
And this is where making a decision becomes difficult. I have Comcast/Xfinity and have not had outages. Villagetinker and I are in different parts of TV.

We live in Amelia and are getting fairly frequent outages with Comcast Internet. It is annoying.

We live in Poinciana and have never had an outage with Comcast...even during hurricane Irma...no loss of service.

We live in TV Osceola Hills and have Comcast. We have not had an internet outage with our Comcast service in the year and a half we have lived here. My only outages have been due to an older router that needs rebooted every once in a while. I am happy with my Comcast service and will soon buy a new modem and a new router to take advantage of their higher speed. We maintained service even during hurricane IRMA.

We have Century Link for the last 9 months and have experienced few outages. One lasted 3 days last April. We live in Pine HIlls.

No outages with Comcast, XFinity here in Pennecamp.

Comcast Xfinity is probably the most reliable & the fastest you can go in the villages, we hv had them (4 yrs) & have never had an outage. Santiago

BB, if you are going to buy a modem to use with Comcast, purchase thier recommended modem. It has the router built in. One less connection to worry about and you will achieve the best speeds. (IMHO) |
